Krista Hipp brings a smile to work with her everyday. Excited to meet the challenges that await, the friends she will see and the fun she will have. Krista holds two jobs.
She works at Handi-Crafters three days a week and Wendy’s two days. She began working at Wendy’s ten years ago and is the longest tenured employee at the Thorndale restaurant. Her responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room, such as sweeping the floors, washing the tables and keeping the condiments stocked.
At Handi-Crafters Krista has established herself as a leader of her work team. Her supervisor, Carol, thinks very highly of her. “Krista just enjoys working and does everything we ask of her with a smile on her face.” Carol even relies on Krista to perform inspections on certain jobs to ensure they are correct.
Earlier this year Krista was asked to take on the important task of wrapping finished pallets (skids) for shipping. “I love wrapping skids!” she exclaims. This responsibility is a coveted opportunity that is typically filled by larger males. At 4 feet 8 inches, Krista Hipp just might be the best skid wrapper at Handi-Crafters. “She wraps a skid perfectly,” states Carol.
Krista loves to be up on her feet when she works. Most of all Krista loves people. “She’s a social butterfly by nature,” explains her Mom. This socialization includes having conversations with several workers at Handi-Crafters who are deaf. That’s because Krista knows some sign language. A skill her mother taught her when she was little to help her communicate.
Krista is a talented individual. Her warm personality and strong work ethic have helped her succeed at work over the past ten years. This August Krista turns 30. She still has a long career with new challenges and much success to look forward to; which she’s certain to greet with a smile each day.
