Neighboring businesses Locust Lane Craft Brewery and Closets by Design join forces for a second year to raise money for HC Opportunity Center (HCOC, formerly Handi-Crafters handi-crafters.org), one of the largest employment and disability focused support service programs in Southeast Pennsylvania, by hosting an ultimate car show event.
Cars for Charity was a concept imagined by Closets by Design owner, Charles Waterman, a business partner of HCOC, who has seen the decline in job opportunities for workers of the organization due to economic and environmental factors. “We wanted to help offset the loss of income for their workers by utilizing our facility to throw a fun charity event that the whole community can be a part of.” states Charles.
CBD (Closets by Design) tapped neighboring business, Locust Lane Craft Brewery, as their event and beverage partner. Locust Lane has developed strong roots in the community and hosts a number of fundraising events throughout each year. “We’re excited to partner with our neighbors at CBD for a second time. Our first event last year was a big hit, and we hope to make an even bigger impact with this year’s show.” says Steph Eby, Marketing & Communications Manager at Locust Lane.
Registration is now open for any motor enthusiast interested in showcasing their vehicle. All years, makes, and models are welcome: Register here – https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2022-cars-for-charity-show-participant-registration-396564343627
100% of registration fees, as well as a percentage of food and beverage sales will be donated to the fundraiser. The event will take place Sunday, September 18 from 11 am-4 pm in the parking lot of Closets by Design at 60 Three Tun Rd in Malvern, adjacent to Locust Lane Craft Brewery.
