Responsibilities: Responsible for developing job leads, identifying employment opportunities and placing individuals into competitive employment. Provide job placement, coaching and follow-up services for individuals placed in competitive employment.
Education: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Business, or Education. High school diploma with relevant prior work and life experiences may be considered. Special Training/Skills: Marketing/sales ability, valid PA driver’s license and good driving record, computer proficiency, knowledge of local job market and high priority occupations. Experience working with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities is helpful. Required to obtain Basic Employment Services Certification or Employment Services Professional Certification by 1/01/2019.
Physical Demands: While performing the clerical duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit. While job coaching, the individual will be required to stand or walk. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to drive personal or company vehicle for portions of the working day.
Contact the business sector to promote employment for clients.
Foster relationships with area businesses to build base for client employment.
Identify job site modifications as needed.
Assist client in performing work responsibilities and ability to foster independence.
Perform task analysis of each task as needed and provide guidance to client.
Participate in professional training and development opportunities.
Conduct community based work assessments.
Perform other duties of the department as required and assigned.
