Our School-to-Work program helps prepare students and their families to transition out of school and into the world of work. We work in partnership with area school districts to prepare students for the transition.
Program activities and dates are customized to meet the mandates of the individual student’s IEP. Together we evaluate the range of career advancement opportunities which may include the experience in our Skill Development Center, career guidance, job-related field trips/activities and a vocational evaluation.
In addition, at the request of the school district, we can provide job placement and job coaching.

“I owe a lot to Handi-Crafters! Encouraging me every step of the way! I am now taking classes at Delaware County Community College and I have a good job at Turkey Hill. Instead of accepting that I couldn’t do these things ~ I now know – I can!”
